Hospitality and Health Update
Whispering Woods Resort is open and our highest priority is the safety and well-being of our staff, Owners, guests, vendors and community.
We will continue to provide updates and information as the recovery evolves and as we make adjustments to ensure a healthy, safe experience at Whispering Woods. Our commitment to be your Nearby, Faraway Vacation Place remains. Thank you for your ongoing trust.
Safety & Sanitation
Whispering Woods Resort has always maintained high standards for health and sanitation, meeting and exceeding those required by law. In response to public health and safety concerns, we have increased our safety and sanitation efforts to address guest concerns and continue supporting a healthy work environment for our staff.
As we continue monitoring Federal, State and local guidance, we will take any necessary actions, including ongoing training for our staff. Following are examples of the steps we have taken.
- Vigorous sanitation measures throughout the Resort, including specific procedures within each department for guest rooms, public spaces and employee areas.
- Proper hand washing and hygiene protocols, as well as additional safety training for employees with frequent guest contact.
- Thoroughly cleaned rooms using CDC-approved sanitizers, with extra attention given to high-touch, hard non-porous surfaces like TV remotes, toilet seats and handles, door and furniture handles, water faucet handles, night stands, telephones, light switches, thermostats, alarm clocks, furniture racks and flooring.
- Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of all nonporous surfaces in public spaces.
- Adherence to industry best practices, including adoption and implementation of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Safe Stay Program.
- Employees are following recommended government health guidelines.
Resort Service & Amenities

Oregon restaurants and bars are open for business with no capacity restrictions. Contact the restaurant of your choice in advance to confirm their hours and current offerings.
Additional Details include:
- Clubhouse Amenities: Our swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and fitness room are all open. If you have questions, please call the Front Desk at 503-622-3171 for more information.
DVD rentals are currently available at $2 per movie or 3 movies for $5. You can see our DVD library here. You can visit the Clubhouse to rent a movie or call the office to reserve one in advance. - Housekeeping Service: Optional daily housekeeping service is temporarily suspended. Additional supplies and contactless linen exchange are available upon request.
- Maintenance Service: Maintenance staff are available for assistance as needed.
- Housekeeping and maintenance personnel will not enter occupied rooms unless specifically requested or approved by our guests or to comply with established safety protocols.
Travel Safety and Responsibility
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we adapt to the changing travel landscape together.
- Physical Distancing: All guests not traveling together will be asked to practice physical distancing from other people not in their group by standing at least six (6) feet away from each other. Signs are posted and lobby furniture has been rearranged to promote physical distancing.
- Check-In: Our Clubhouse lobby is open for check-ins and guests services. Our current check-in time is 4 p.m.
- Credit Card: A credit card authorization is required for check-in; all major credit cards are accepted.
- Check-Out: Contactless check-out is available. Please call the Front Desk when you check out so we may confirm charges and verify your email for a receipt. Our current check-out time is 10 a.m. to allow additional time for our staff to clean and sanitize our rooms.
- If you are sick: If you or any member of your party are sick or showing symptoms, please stay home.
- If you get sick: If any member of your party has or develops presumptive symptoms of COVID-19, please notify the Front Desk before you check out. This will allow us to take the room offline for a quarantine period until it can undergo an enhanced cleaning and disinfecting service per CDC guidelines using EPA approved products.
Looking Forward
Oregon’s Safe + Strong Reopening plan is guided by the Oregon Health Authority and our State’s Governor.
As of June 30, 2021, nearly 70% of Oregonians 18 years old and older had received at least one COVID-19 vaccination shot. With that milestone, our State’s Governor lifted all mask and social distancing requirement in our state.
Local restaurants and area attractions have been approved to reopen without restrictions and most have done so. Please contact restaurants directly or ask our Front Desk for assistance.
