A beautiful day on the Fruit Loop. September 2016 events

The Fruit Loop on scenic Hwy 35 makes for a beautiful day. The Fruit loop is made up of a valley full of fruit stands and wineries. A splended day would be to leave in the morning to pick your seasonal berries. After arriving in the cute town of Hood River. Lunch at the Saw Tooth Roadhouse or Apple Valley BBQ will fill you up with fantastic food and drinks. Open daily from 11am to 9pm. Upon returning home you will find wonderful wines at local wineries. Hood River Vineyards, Cathedral Ridge Winery, Phelps Creek Vineyards and Mt. Hood Winery to name a few. Don’t miss desserts galore at Kiyokawa Family Orchards. September 17th and 18th 2016. A spread of delectable desserts made with the finest apples, pears, and peaches. Take home recipes and make a sweet creation of your own. Spend a day with a picnic, orchard tours, hay wagon rides, and lots of family fun! For more information 541-352-7115. Also, September 16th and 18th. Pear days and corn maze opening weekend at Packers Orchards and Farm Place. Spend the day at the farm place and learn all about pears. Taste many varieties and be prepared to take home your favorites. Corn roasts and canning demonstrations all weekend. Covered picnic area. Make new memories at the first annual Packers Corn Maze. Preview the pumpkin patch in October.
