What is there to do at your resort and the surrounding areas?
Enjoy a hike, a book, a swing, a walk, a swim, a movie, or some world famous gardens. See creatures of all kinds, from all over the world at our own Portland Zoo. Take a trip to the ocean and comb the beaches for sea shells, or visit the Aquarium. Try your skiing/snowboarding ability level at one or all three resorts on the slopes of Mount Hood, a ride down the alpine slide (seasonal), or float down some white water rapids (seasonal). Enjoy a brunch cruise on the Sternwheeler or a Dinner Excursion on the Mount Hood Railroad. Experience the fruit and wine tasting area of the northwest, some within minutes of the resort. Head East and in a short time you are in the high desert, with spectacular sights and an entirely different weather system.

Whispering Woods Resort is great “hub” location. The mountain is a 1/2 hour drive, Portland and to the Columbia River Gorge are 1 hour, the coast is within 2-3 hours, the high desert/Central Oregon 3-4 hours, and Seattle is about 4-5 hours. There’s so many fun things to see and do in this part of Oregon.
