What are some rainy day activities for kids?
Even it if rains, there is always something to do at Whispering Woods, in the Mt. Hood Territory or in the cities and towns within about an hour’s drive. Here are a few ideas for kids
We always have a coloring contest going at the Clubhouse.
Rent a kid-friendly DVD and watch it in the Clubhouse big screen TV or in your own unit.
Visit Wildwood Park (aka Wildwood Recreation Site), a great outlet even in the rain.
Visit the Sandy Library, a 20 minute drive from the resort. On certain days, they have story times.
Drive to Portland, about 60 minutes from the resort, and go to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). Much of the museum is geared towards kids.
Visit the Portland Children’s Museum.
