Government Camp is located at 4,000 feet in elevation and 13 miles from Whispering Woods, via car. Upon taking the 6 mile drive up Timberline Hwy, this will put you at 6,000 feet at the lodge, or an elevation gain of 4,700 feet from Whispering Woods Resort.
